Hackers Stolen XPR and ADA worth $4 Million from Singaporean Crypto Exchange Bitrue

Biture, a Singaporean based crypto exchanged has been breached by hackers on June 27. The hackers exploited a flaw in the Risk Control Team’s 2nd review process to access the funds of 90 Bitrue users and they learned to transfer funds from Bitrue hot wallet to different exchanges. Around 9.3 million XRP and 2.5 Million ADA were transferred said the Bitrue Team.

In 2019, several crypto exchanges have suffered from top-level security breaches suffering tens of millions of dollars in user funds. A total of eight exchanges have been hacked in 2019 including Bitrue which is raising concerns about the cybersecurity of these exchanges.

The Biture team detected the attack and temporarily suspended the activity on Biture. Biture alerted the receiving exchanges about the situation in result Huobi, Bittrex and ChangeNow froze accounts which were notified by Biture. Biture wishes to extend thanks to Huobi, Bittrex and ChangeNOW for freezing and securing the affected funds said’s the Biture Team.
